Abstract
⺠We examine the sensitivity of the β-material parameter. ⺠Its approximation results into inaccurate value of mechanical properties. ⺠Existing curve fitting method for its determination is cumbersome. ⺠Error optimization technique is found to be useful in the determination of β. ⺠β determined this way satisfies loop conditions and ensures goodness in the fit.
