Abstract
⺠MD simulations to determine the mechanical properties of silicon-graphene heterostructure. ⺠Graphene enhances the mechanical properties of silicon. ⺠The Young's modulus of the heterostructure decreases with increase of silicon nanofilm thickness. ⺠Fracture is initiated with breaking of Si-Si bonds near the interface.
