Abstract
⺠A large strain muliti-scale finite element model is proposed. ⺠The model reproduces the viscous relaxation, the recovery mechanism and hysteresis. ⺠A good predictive capability of the model is found when compared to published data. ⺠A failure mechanism is associated with yielding of the amorphous cellulose.
