Abstract
⺠In this article, authors studied the thermodynamic stability of the grain boundaries and the grain growth of nanocrystalline metals by the use of equation of state (EOS), quasi-harmonic Debye approximation (QDA) and Song's models. ⺠Then, the models were validated by the Monte Carlo atomic simulation method. ⺠The results are in conformity with the results obtained from the EOS and Song's models rejecting the QDA model.
