Abstract
⺠A finite specimen effect is observed in center and edge crack piezoelectric media. ⺠Fourfold enrichment functions in X-FEM are efficient and accurate to provide IFs and ERR. ⺠For center cracked specimen a ratio w/a ⩾ 10 gives a good accuracy to the infinite domain. ⺠And for edge cracked specimen a ratio w/a ⩾ 20 gives a good accuracy to the infinte domain.
