Abstract
The paper deals with a concept of the consideration of random fluctuations in material behaviour of metals, with focus on coupled viscoplastic and continuum damage modelling. Scattering material behaviour is represented by fluctuating sets of model parameters. The spatial distribution of the random field is obtained from Karhunen-Loève expansion. Localisations are covered by a nonlocal gradient-enhanced formulation. The concept is verified by structural analyses of a plate with hole including varying lengths of correlation and internal lengths, respectively.
