Abstract
Equation of motion of a domain wall in a bistable wire is applied to investigate the dynamic coercive field and the area of hysteresis loop as dependent on frequency and amplitude of an applied magnetic field. The results of the calculations are compared to experimental data, and a qualitative accordance is obtained. We conclude that the observed effects are due to the field dependence of the velocity of the domain wall.
