Abstract
The effect of (He–Ne) laser irradiation for different irradiant times on optical properties of (10 ml) methyl orange doped PVA films were investigated. The films were prepared by casting method. Absorption and transmission spectra for all samples were measured by UV-Visible spectrophotometer. All optical constants affected by laser irradiation such as refraction index, extinction coefficient, complex dielectric constants, and optical energy gap which decreased with increasing irradiation times.
