Abstract
⺠CWR is applied to hot working in the SIMA process before cold compression. ⺠The microstructural evolution of semisolid A356.2 alloy is studied. ⺠Increasing the compression ratio leads to finer spheroidal solid particles. ⺠Ostwald ripening dominates particle coarsening after particle fragmentation.
