Abstract
⺠Carbide dissolution occurs at precipitate/matrix interfaces, forming β-depleted zone. ⺠Peritectoid reaction is responsible for drastic reduction of carbide volume fraction. ⺠Slower dissolution rate is accounted by dislocation, vacancy flow, and curvature. ⺠Lamellar changed to equiaxed α with increasing carbon from β furnace cooling.
