Abstract
⺠Diffusion of Ti and Al from TiAl alloy has great influence on the joint microstructure. ⺠The thickness of the TiC reaction layer is the main controlling factor for the joint quality. ⺠A conceptual microstructural evolution for the joint has been proposed.
