Abstract
►The microstructure of the aged TZN consists of α phase in β matrix. ►Addition of boron to TZN leads to the formation of dispersed acicular TiB. ►Presence of TiB deteriorates the fatigue strength of TZN alloy. ►Fatigue strength of aged TZN/TZNB alloys is comparable with biomedical Ti-alloys.
