Abstract
The evolution of θ′ (Al2Cu) precipitates in 2519A alloy impacted by a split Hopkinson bar has been investigated. The precipitates decompose by dislocation cutting, and redissolve at high strain rate. And due to pre-aging treatment, finer and denser precipitates can slow this evolution.
