Abstract
Density-graded aluminum foams were successfully prepared via cooling the foam melts having not yet grown fully. The effects of TiH2 content and cooling timing on the density gradient were experimentally investigated. The mechanical properties of graded samples were examined through quasi-static compression tests and impact tests.
