Abstract

The creep rupture behavior of a die-cast Mg–5Al–0.3Mn alloy was investigated at temperatures between 423 and 498 K. The minimum creep rate and the creep rupture life follow the phenomenological Monkman–Grant relationship. The value of the Larson–Miller parameter is uniquely described by the logarithm of the applied stress when the Larson–Miller constant is selected to be 15.
