Abstract
The W-30 wt%Cu composite bars and strips were obtained by hot extrusion with steel cup from spray-drying powders. The relative density of cold-compressed billets is about 71.4%, and after they are extruded by an extrusion rate of 8.35 at 1200 °C, it reaches 91%. XRD and metallographic microscope were used to study the properties and microstructures of the materials. After extruded at 1100 °C, the bars have good properties of which the conductivity is about 41%IACS and the hardness is about 287HV.
