Abstract
⺠Welding zones by GTAW and GMAW are softer than the parent material Al5083. ⺠GTAW for Al5083 are mechanically more reliable than that welded by GMAW. ⺠GTAW welds fail by shear, but GMAW welds show mixed shear and normal failure.
