Abstract
⺠Laser welding is introduced to weld Ti-based bulk metallic glass. ⺠No crystallization and defects are observed in the joint. ⺠The sound joint exhibits a high tensile strength of 1650 MPa, 93% of the base alloy. ⺠The mechanism of successful welding is discussed by means of numerical simulations.
