Abstract
⺠Al-xMg alloys processed by room temperature ECAP have been investigated. ⺠Magnesium addition to aluminum promotes the grain refinement. ⺠Misorientation increase induced by particles along grain boundaries is observed. ⺠Optimization of strength and ductility has been obtained by annealed ECAP. ⺠Softening mechanism of Al-6 Mg alloy after ECAP changes within 523-573 K.
