Abstract
⺠High strength Mg-Al-Ca-Mn alloy has been developed as an automotive engine part. ⺠Fine precipitates are found in dynamically recrystallized and the other regions. ⺠Room and high temperature mechanical properties have been evaluated. ⺠Occurrence of twinning during compressive test is confirmed. ⺠Crystallographic orientation after extrusion has been identified.
