Abstract
⺠We examined microstructural changes of TRIP and DP steels during low cycle fatigue. ⺠Cyclic hardening was not significantly dependent on austenite transformation. ⺠Low cyclic softening of TRIP 980 not related to austenite transformation. ⺠Novel TRIP 980 steel had low plastic strain to failure due to strain partioning.
