Abstract
⺠α-Ti to β-Ti phase conversion is observed during 1 h of milling. ⺠Ti0.9C0.1N (fcc) phase is noticed to form after 1 h of milling. ⺠Formation time of Ti(C,N) phase is less than TiN phase. ⺠Both X-ray and HRTEM microstructure characterization revealed similar results.
