Abstract
⺠The vacuum brazing of alumina to Ti6Al4V alloy was successfully realized using Ag-Cu eutectic filler metal. ⺠The addition of Cu interlayer increased the shear strength of the joint. ⺠The microstructure consisted of α-β Ti, Ti2Cu, TiCu, Ti3Cu4, Ag(s.s) and Cu2(Ti,Al)4O phases.
