Abstract
► The instantaneous coalescence criteria for void cluster were localized in the region. ► A dynamic failure criterion to describe void coalescence process was presented. ► Impact tension tests for pure copper sheets containing drilled voids were performed. ► Recorded void evolutions are compared with that computed with coalescence criteria. ► The dynamic void coalescence process in the ligament was revealed.
