Abstract
⺠The microstructure and hardness of deposited Ti-6Al-4V blocks are investigated. ⺠Hardness is influenced by post heat treatment rather than by process parameters. ⺠Microstructure within the prior β-grains varies to some extent from grain to grain. ⺠A 600 °C/4 h treatment significantly increased the average hardness.
