Abstract
► Initial steps of a current approach for RLA of 11 years service exposed KHR 35 CT reformer tube. ► Accelerated creep tests in combination with plant inspection data during shut down is utilized. ► How the above provides an effective strategy for short term assessment of reformer tube integrity. ► RLA is based on accelerated creep test results and correlation of microstructure. ► An additional life of 32,822 h at 950 °C and 19 MPa is predicted.
