Abstract
⺠We set up a simple but effective FE model for evaluation of peening residual stress. ⺠We obtained the impact velocity needed for FEA based on the arc height and coverage. ⺠The FE solution obtained by the model is quite close to the experimental XRD result. ⺠The model provides result comparable with endeavored 3D multi-impact FE solution.
