Abstract
► 0.2 wt.% boron refines the as-cast microstructure of Timetal 834 alloy. ► The boron addition leads to an improvement in strength (0.2% YS and UTS). ► The B modified alloy shows better creep resistance as compared to base alloy. ► These effects are attributed to load sharing mechanism by the TiB whiskers.
