Abstract
⺠0.2 wt.% boron refines the as-cast microstructure of Timetal 834 alloy. ⺠The boron addition leads to an improvement in strength (0.2% YS and UTS). ⺠The B modified alloy shows better creep resistance as compared to base alloy. ⺠These effects are attributed to load sharing mechanism by the TiB whiskers.
