Abstract
⺠The DyCu alloy showed high ductility with a plastic strain of 35% under compression. ⺠The ã1 1 1ã dislocation appears to be a key contributor to the high ductility for DyCu. ⺠The Dy2O3 and DyCu2 phases observed did not aid or inhibit the high ductility of DyCu.
