Abstract
⺠Elemental zinc forming a transient eutectic liquid phase used to stabilize foam. ⺠Transient liquid formed below cracking and hydrogen release temperatures. ⺠Hydrogen loss was reduced and foaming was improved while increasing stability. ⺠In situ microstructure characterization of the transient liquid phase was shown. ⺠Foaming temperatures were lowered by the use of zinc in selected concentrations.
