Abstract
⺠Solid, polycrystalline NiTi has up to 3.5% strain recovery deformed in compression. ⺠Compressive Ï-É curves have lower recoverable strains, higher transformation slopes. ⺠5% compression material setting results in the maximum shape recovery. ⺠The strain ratio associated with martensite transformation is 1:57. ⺠At 22 °C, NiTi has a UTS is 2219 MPa and a uniform elongation of 30%.
