Abstract
⺠The main innovations claimed are: understand rolling direction effect on mechanical cycling of laser welded NiTi. ⺠Functionality confirmed by stabilization of hysteretic response up to 8% strain. ⺠Welds tensile cycled exhibited superior functional mechanical behaviour. ⺠For applied stresses of 50 MPa below UTS the joints showed superelastic behaviour.
