Abstract
⺠Presence of porosity in samples reduces overall stability of austenite phase. ⺠Nucleation rate of ferrite increases with increase in porosity in the samples. ⺠Measurements showed reduction in incubation time with increasing porosity. ⺠Avrami exponent, n, found to be independent of temperature and pore fraction. ⺠Avrami constant, b(T), found to be dependent on porosity.
