Abstract
ⶠDeformation twins were observed in the cryomilled nc AZ80 powder. ⶠBimodal microstructure was formed in the SPS'ed Mg-Al-Zr alloy. ⶠNano-sized Mg17Al12 precipitates were observed inside of the coarse grains. ⶠHigh yield strength of 442.3 MPa, and ultimate strength of 546 MPa were measured. ⶠThe deformation behavior and mechanisms of nano Mg alloy are discussed.
