Abstract
► A high density powder metal Ti51Ni49 with good shape memory characteristics was produced. ► With 1004 °C annealing, the tensile properties of as-sintered and HIPed compacts were improved due to the spheroidization of the Ti2Ni. ► After HIPing and annealing, an increase in Ms and ΔH, and a narrower Ms-Mf were observed. ► With HIPing at 1162 °C, the shape recovery rate was also improved by about 8%.
