Abstract
⺠A high density powder metal Ti51Ni49 with good shape memory characteristics was produced. ⺠With 1004 °C annealing, the tensile properties of as-sintered and HIPed compacts were improved due to the spheroidization of the Ti2Ni. ⺠After HIPing and annealing, an increase in Ms and ÎH, and a narrower Ms-Mf were observed. ⺠With HIPing at 1162 °C, the shape recovery rate was also improved by about 8%.
