Abstract
▶ The partial substitution of Cu by the right amount of Si increases the glass forming ability of the bulk amorphous alloy Mg60Cu30Y10. ▶ The serrations size of Mg60Cu30−xY10Six is dependent on the content of Si. ▶ The creep displacement of Mg60Cu30−xY10Six alloys decrease with increasing Si content. ▶ The elastic modulus and nano-hardness of Mg60Cu30−xY10Six are dependent on the Si content.
