Abstract
► Fatigue crack growth of AA2219 has been examined under four aging treatments. ► The highest resistance to fatigue crack initiation is in the naturally aged condition. ► The crack growth rate increases with advancing aging. ► The near threshold stress intensity range decreases with advancing aging. ► Crack closure effect is predominant in the low stress intensity regimes.
