Abstract
⺠Fatigue crack growth of AA2219 has been examined under four aging treatments. ⺠The highest resistance to fatigue crack initiation is in the naturally aged condition. ⺠The crack growth rate increases with advancing aging. ⺠The near threshold stress intensity range decreases with advancing aging. ⺠Crack closure effect is predominant in the low stress intensity regimes.
