Abstract
► Hot working behavior of Ti60 alloy was characterized by isothermal compression tests. ► Flow stress of Ti60 decreased with increasing temperature and decreasing strain rate. ► Greater flow softening was observed in the α + β field compared with that of β field. ► The activation energy was 653 and 183 kJ/mol for α + β and β field, respectively. ► Two instable fields should be avoided during the deformation of Ti60 alloy.
