Abstract
The influence of a mechanical stress during annealing on the softening behavior of an ECAP deformed and a cold rolled aluminum alloy 3103 was investigated. An analysis of the work hardening behavior and the microstructural evolution during annealing proved that recrystallization is substantially retarded by the applied stress. This can be attributed to significantly accelerated recovery processes.
