Abstract
The dissolution behavior of θⲠphase in Al-Cu binary alloy during equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) and multi-axial compression (MAC) was characterized by hardness test, small angle X-ray scattering method and TEM observation. Results suggested that the θⲠphase in the MAC-processed sample dissolved more rapidly than that in the ECAP-processed sample, which was attributed to the difference in the stress state between ECAP and MAC processing.
