Abstract
ⶠHeavily cold rolled and then annealed Fe3Al is examined on rolling plane and transverse sections during recovery and recrystallization. ⶠ{0 0 1}ã1 1 0ã and {1 1 1}ã1 1 0ã textures tend to form during rolling, with easier recrystallization occurring in regions with {1 1 1}ã1 1 0ã texture. ⶠHigher strains and lower annealing temperatures reduce the final grain size. ⶠFiner microstructures lead to increased strength with improved ductility.
