Abstract
▶ This work evaluated the capacity of a CuAlBe alloy to absorb energy until rupture. ▶ The V-notch Charpy test was adopted at −150, −100, −50, 0, 50, 100 and 150 °C. ▶ Charpy tests were complemented by DSC, DSC with optical microscope and by SEM. ▶ First work to analyze the toughness of a CuAlBe alloy based on the Charpy test. ▶ The results are of relevant value to enhance the understanding of the CuAlBe alloy.
