Abstract
The mechanical and structural properties of Mg85Ca5Cu10 metallic glass ribbons are investigated via DSC, XRD, microhardness, nanoindentation, tensile tests, and bend tests. It is found that the mechanical behavior of the material is dependent on temperature and strain rate as predicted by a deformation map. The viscosity and fracture surface features reveal that as viscosity in the glass increases, fracture surface features decrease in size.
