Abstract
Researches showed that the shape memory effect of FeMnSiCrNiC alloys can be remarkably improved through aligned Cr23C6 particles inside grains. To compensate for the deprived Cr element due to Cr23C6 precipitates and guarantee a good corrosion resistance in FeMnSiCrNiC alloys, a new FeMnSiCrNiC alloy with 13 wt.% Cr content was designed and the effects of ageing after pre-deformation at room temperature on the precipitation site of Cr23C6 particles and SME were investigated. The results showed that the SME of alloy with 13 wt.% Cr content is nearly the same as that of a conventional FeMnSiCrNiC alloy with 8 wt.% Cr content when they were all aged after pre-deformation at room temperature.
