Abstract
We assessed the earing tendency of the P orientation {0 1 1}〈5 6 6〉 using a modified Tucker model. The simulation results showed that the P orientation {0 1 1}〈5 6 6〉 leads to 30°/60° earing, which exhibits the same earing behavior as deformation textures such as the Copper {1 1 2}〈1 1 1〉, S {1 2 3}〈6 3 4〉, and Brass {0 1 1}〈2 1 1〉 orientations. These results lead us to believe that, even after complete recrystallization, the 45° earing could remain somewhat pronounced for CC Al-Mn-Mg sheets without the IHT.
