Abstract
We assessed the earing tendency of the P orientation {0 1 1}ã5 6 6ã using a modified Tucker model. The simulation results showed that the P orientation {0 1 1}ã5 6 6ã leads to 30°/60° earing, which exhibits the same earing behavior as deformation textures such as the Copper {1 1 2}ã1 1 1ã, S {1 2 3}ã6 3 4ã, and Brass {0 1 1}ã2 1 1ã orientations. These results lead us to believe that, even after complete recrystallization, the 45° earing could remain somewhat pronounced for CC Al-Mn-Mg sheets without the IHT.
