Abstract
Ba3La2Ti2Nb2O15 (BLTN) microwave ceramics prepared by a simple and effective reaction-sintering process were investigated. Without any calcinations involved, the mixture of BaCO3, La2O3, TiO2 and Nb2O5 was pressed and sintered directly. BLTN ceramics could be obtained after 2–6 h sintering at 1400–1470 °C. A density 6.21 g/cm3 (99% of theoretical value) was obtained in BLTN for 6 h sintering at 1450 °C. BLTN ceramics with ɛr = 51.5–54.5 and τf < 15 ppm/°C could be prepared by the reaction-sintering process.
