Abstract
The tensile mechanical properties and microstructure transformation of newly developed β type biomedical Ti alloy TLM consisting of biocompatible elements Zr, Sn, Mo, Nb were investigated to provide excellent mechanical compatibility matching. The lower modulus of elasticity and yield strength, and better plasticity results from martensite phase or stress-induced martensite transformation. The aging treatment leads to dispersion strengthening and fine-grain strengthening.
