Abstract
Composition dependence of microstructure and mechanical properties were studied in Al2O3 ceramics with 0.05–0.70 wt.% MgO. It has been found that higher content of MgO prohibited growth of grain in ceramics. It was found that the grain size decreases with increasing content of MgO and Al2O3 ceramics with 0.70 wt.% MgO showed highest strength.
