Abstract
SummaryPaint systems can represent a major operating cost component of any manufacturing plant, and spray washers are a primary component of the system's cost. A variety of methods are available to reduce spray washer energy costs; some simply involve practice improvements and can be implemented with little cost. Others require a capital investment and, therefore, require thorough evaluation to determine the ROI. A good understanding of the production scheme, washer operation, and energy-conserving alternatives can lead to significant ongoing energy savings.
