Abstract
⺠Quantitative evaluation of WSI quality in terms of contrast, colour and stain. ⺠Use of objective metric with perceptual features and subjective psychophysical test. ⺠The results show slight preference for the scanner over the microscope. ⺠The main problem for image quality is defocus followed by colour distortions. ⺠The image quality of both devices is suitable for clinical, educational and research.
